Template Levels ¶
Template levels speed up the time required to create a new map. They are useful in that, they have most things already setup to begin working on the design of the level. For example, they have a terrain, sky box, black room, fog, and even a palette of statics. They can make it easier for both new and experienced levelers to create new maps.
How to use a template level ¶
- Download and extract the level to your DarkestHour/Maps folder
- Open the level in the editor
- Immediately save-as to any name of your choice (should start with
DH-) - Begin working on your level, the template will remain so you can reuse it
